Winners Are Now Posted

All of the winners are now posted, to see the winners just click on the Winners tab. The results were extremely close in some categories, and in two of them - Best Edward and Best Original Character - we even had ties. For those who are interested, we have posted the results of the voting poll on the blog, to see them, just click on the tab that says voting results. We'd like to thank everyone who participated by nominating, voting, or just pimping out these awards, because you've all helped make these awards a success. We here at The Notebook will be hosting these awards again, as we plan on these being a bi-annual event. The next round of The Wordsmith Awards will be sometime in the fall, so be sure to keep your eye out for when we relaunch. Congratulations to all of our winners!

Voting in The Wordsmith Awards is now open. To vote, head over to the voting section on the blog and click on the link. Good luck to all of the nominees. Voting closes on May 26 and winners will be announced on May 28.

Nominations

Thanks to everyone who has been pimping out these awards, and to everyone who has submitted nominations. The categories have filled up much quicker than we expected and we are looking forward to when voting begins on May 17th. There are still some openings in the Best Crossover Category and there is still an opening in the Best Slash Category as well, so if you have some nominations for either of those, be sure to get them in!

Nominations are now open. You can find the forms for nominations on the Categories/Nominate page of the blog. Please be sure to review the rules before submitting your nominations, and remember...we are only accepting 10 nominations per category (You'll be able to see how many nominations a category has by checking the nominees page of the blog). Once each category is full, the link to nominate in that category will be deactivated. You have until May 15th to get your nominations in. Also, if you have any questions regarding nominations or any of the rules for nominating, you can send an email to twinotebook@gmail.com with Wordsmith Nominations in the subject line and someone will get back to you ASAP.

Welcome to The Wordsmith Awards

Welcome to The Wordsmith Awards. These awards are being brought to you by The Notebook. The Wordsmith Awards are The Notebook's way of honoring all of the amazing fics, authors, betas, and prereaders in the Twilight Fandom. The plan is for these awards to become a regular event, with Spring 2012 being the first set of the awards. Our next set of awards has been tentatively scheduled for Winter 2012.

The awards open for nominations on May 1, with the last day for nominations being May 15. Voting begins on May 17 and closes on May 26. Winners will be announced on May 28.

Since there is still some time before nominations open, we'd like to invite you to take some time to look around the blog, familiarize yourself with the rules and requirements for nominations, and start getting your lists together for the fics you would like to nominate once nominations open on May 1.
